2008 Starts Our University Internship and Short Term Mission Program
Internships are going to be available starting 2008 for GSM Guatemala for university students and coaches who want to work with us in short term missions while obtaining potential class room hours.

Guatemala is a Middle America country where soccer (football) is this nation’s national team sport and passion with youth and adults. Guatemala is wide open for the gospel and using soccer to do so is wide open.

Candidates must have a degree or be part of a university internship program as a degree candidate. GSM International is looking for students who have sports background (specifically soccer) in coaching and administration of sport to be able to better implement soccer. Candidates need to apply ahead of time to secure a position. Candidates need to be spirit filled Christians that have a passion to see soccer used as a tool, along with the ability to share the Gospel, to be accepted into an internship. You'll be considered a "Soccer Missionary".

Our internships can last for 3 to 4 months (college semester) to 1 to 2 years. Interns must be able have a soccer playing and coaching back ground.

Interns in Guatemala interns will work in GSM Community Academy programs, camps and after school programs. Interns may also be trained to work with Soccer and missionary teams who do short term mission work in these countries.

Interns will work in our programs with youth and adults that pre-exist. We operate activities, such as soccer camps, after school soccer outreach ministries, academy program in several communities in Guatemala City where players are trained, Coach a youth team, play on a men's team (if a male intern). Interns would also be involved in assisting soccer teams and church groups that come from the USA on mission trips. GSM Guatemala also has an evangelical home church for you to attend. Shalom Baptist church is our affiliate church for our ministry.
