The family at Global Soccer Ministries Jamaica is proud that we have one of our players, Nicole Broderick, the top female players from the GSM Academy at Waterhouse FC chosen for two honors.
Nicole recently has been called to up train and play for the National Team Under 17 Women's Team. Nicole, whose father is a former Waterhouse Football Club player at senior level, is very grateful and excited for the opportunities to have her daughter not only in the GSM Academy, but now to represent her country through her efforts because of the GSM soccer program in their community.
She has been training under the director of our staff since the beginning of the youth academy program in 2008. Nicole not has put a great effort into her soccer, but she has taken her academic very seriously and is now attending Excelsior High School where she has been given a scholarship to play football for the school by their Head Coach Gilbert Xavier. Coach Xavier is also the coach for the female national under 17 ladies team and plans to keep under his direction.
Nicole has been training with GSM academy for sometime and is highly praised by Baris Johnson our Director of GSM Jamaica. He has been part of her training program for our top selected players and he has shared the following about Nicole.
“She is a wonderful young lady with allot of talent and if she stayed focus the sky is the limit. The influence of the spiritual side of GSM has cause Nicole to attend sunday school and church on a regular basis. Our prayer is for her to represent her school and country well and be able to share her faith with those around her as she grows in the game she loves. Nicole is a great example for the rest of the player in GSM. If you work hard and have faith God will move in your life."

NATIONAL COACH VIN BLAINE IS OPTIMISTIC AS YOUNGER GIRLZ DEPART FOR U-17 TOURNEY
Vin Blaine, the head coach of the women's programme, is expressing confidence in his charges ahead of their departure today for Curacao where they will compete in the Caribbean leg of the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers beginning on Monday.
"The preparation has been going very well. They have responded very well and are improving every day," said Blaine.
A win for the Younger Girlz will earn them a berth in the CONCACAF round of the competition set for March 9-20, 2010 in Costa Rica. If they finish second in the group, they could still qualify for the CONCACAF round if they win the play-off with the second-placed team from the other group. Blaine, however, is not looking at second chances.
Coach Blaine has stated that, "Nicole is a very technical forward and she just needs to be more aware tactical as she prepares for her international soccer career."
